"In June of 2023, we were so fortunate to be able to adopt a rescue pup, Bella is from an absolutely outstanding rescue organization in Colorado. This isn’t the first time we have adopted a pup who lives so far from our home on the Oregon Coast. However, this time, our schedules were less flexible and we needed to make preparations, if possible, to meet somebody halfway between the Oregon Coast and Colorado. Thank goodness Lucky Day Animal Rescue was able to give us a glowing recommendation of somebody who may be able to help. In our first phone conversation with Scott Gronceski, we knew immediately that Bella was in the best of hands. Scott’s love of and knowledge about animals, attention to detail, and ability to communicate professionally, calmly, and personably, instantly put us at ease. Normally, like most new parents, we would feel anxious about trusting a complete stranger to bring our pup on such a long journey. But, surprisingly, with Scott, we never felt anxious at all. Scott was so good about communicating with us along the way as well as sending us fun photos of Bella making her way west. We both finally arrived on the Oregon/Idaho border and met one another for the very first time. Scott was amazing, and we felt like we had known him for a very long time. He is also so knowledgeable and intuitive about dogs and was such a tremendous help when we were introducing Bella to our rescue Newfoundland, Cooper. And, just as we had planned, this should have been where we would be saying our “thank-yous”, and “until-we-meet-agains”...but, our intuition about Cooper and Bella sharing such close quarters for such a long drive was telling us we may need to rethink our plans. Somehow, and in some way, Scott was able to rearrange his very busy schedule and drive an additional 8 hours (16 hours round trip) the remainder of the way to the Oregon Coast!! What an incredible thing to do!! We will always feel so grateful to Scott for helping to make our dream come true with Bella!! There isn’t a single other person I could recommend as wholeheartedly as Scott!! He handled the entire transport with such grace and professionalism. It was so apparent that he and Bella had formed a tender bond in such a very short amount of time. We all cried happy and bittersweet tears for Bella when she finally arrived in her forever home. We will forever be grateful to Scott.
